Deck the halls with poo
I realized I didn't wish any of y'alls a Merry Christmas.
Anyway, I presumed everybody knows how to be merry during Christmas without the greetings, cards, pressies (well, ok not the pressies) and all the hooha.
But have a smashing new year on me, yeah? Don't fuck it up in 2009.
Oh, and I thought it would be mucho interesting to write that my dogs actually got more presents than I did for Christmas.
Since it's New Year's Eve tomorrow, my kind employers have decided to make it Casual Wednesday. And we get to go back at 12:30pm!
For those who do not get the abovementioned benefits, WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA PFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

Mornington Peninsula
The bulk of my trip spent touring the Mornington Peninsula, located over 40km southeast of Melbourne. My uncle has a beach house high up on the hills of McCrae.

Didn't have time to scratch "wuz here".
McCrae

The view from the balcony of the beach house. It's actually alot nicer in real life because the sea is really, really clear. My uncle calls it the million dollar view. As in, "Why do you guys keep the curtains closed? I paid so much for this million dollar view and you guys would much rather watch the patterns on the curtains???"
Obviously he has no idea how much Asians hate the sun.

Fancy photography on the beach of McCrae.
The inclusion of my mother's legs in the photo was purely unintentional.

Lighthouse at McCrae.
Sorrento Pier

By the time we reached Sorrento Pier it was 9:10pm.

And it wasn't totally dark yet. I took a similar photo of the pier with my flash turned on and I captured lots of orbs. Hmm.
Murray's Lookout

I can't remember the significance of the lookout but the view from above is spectacular.
One thing I love about Australia:
You can take super crap photos here and they'll still turn out pretty good.
Apparently this is true in New Zealand also.
Arthur's Seat

Chairlift at Arthur's Seat. But it's not in operations anymore due to insurance problems.
Tavern at Arthur's Peak.
Sorrento
Picnic lunch near Sorrento Pier.
This is the first of many more outdoor picnic lunchs to come. But these are the only outdoor picnic photos I have because the rest of the lunches were held in near-freezing temperatures and my fingers would not obey me.
Summer Ridge Strawberry Farm

Sunny Ridge's famous Strawberry Temptation (AUD$12)
Behind: Strawberry Knickerboker Glory (AUD$10)
U-Pick section of Sunny Ridge where, yes, you can pick your own strawberries if you're into manual labour. Don't be deceived, though. You have to pay for what you pick.
More pictures to be posted as and when I feel like it.

Guess who owns 3 pairs of Havaianas sandals now
I'm back from Melbourne.
Catching an overnight flight from Melb to KL and then hopping onto a connecting flight back to Kch four hours later is hell. Especially when you're flying budget, sitting closest to the turbines, dealing with weather turbulences and have to adjust to the three hours time difference.
It's 4am in Melbourne.
And I'm doing my darndest to stay up to adjust back to M'sian time. I don't want to wake up at the crack of dawn. For the last two weeks, sleeping in means waking up at 6am.
I miss Vietnamese food so much. I WANT BEEF PHO DAMMIT!
Pictures will be uploaded when I've acclimatized.
